My good friend, Stuart Powell, says that the membership’s view of what the IIANC does on a daily basis is like living across the street from a major distribution plant. The membership always sees the trucks go in and then leave the premises, but you really never know much about what happens inside the building on a daily basis. To be very honest, we need to do a better job of getting the word out about the real, tangible benefits of being a member of IIANC. That will be a major focus during the coming year.
With Aubie Knight now on board as our new CEO, he is already working with staff and the leadership team to develop a concrete game plan to get this message out to the membership and our member prospects. Whether we are talking about the statewide Trusted Choice advertising campaign that your association invested $300,000 in this past year to help each of you in your agencies or the new national Freedom campaign that you can tap into at www.trustedchoice.com/agents which offers co-branded ads for your benefit and reimbursement for marketing expenses, our goal is to make sure that every member knows what is available to you and what the association can do to help your agency grow. I want each of you to know your success is very important to me, your Board of Directors, and especially the IIANC staff that works so tirelessly on our behalf.
I promise to think of each of you and your agencies on a daily basis, and I will do my best to ensure your success during this coming year. When one of us succeeds, we all are better off. There is real strength in numbers, and our membership is a great foundation for growth and success for independent agents moving forward.
