Reflections from the Office Next to the Corner Office

This past week we said goodbye to Kelley Erstine who had been IIANC’s Chief Executive Officer since October 2008.  Kelley is returning to Arkansas to become Chief of Staff to the President of the University of Central Arkansas, his alma mater.  It is a bitter-sweet moment.  We will miss Kelley and his leadership but we know he is going to a position that has tugged at his heart for more than a year.

The Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of IIANC is hard at work searching for his replacement.  This process, however, will take several months.  While the search process is ongoing, the Executive Committee has asked me to serve as CEO on an interim basis.

I look forward to serving you in yet another capacity, if only for a short time.  Through the support of the Board of Directors and the help of the superior staff of IIANC, our services to you, the membership, will continue.

The Freedom Advertising Campaign is moving forward; a new season of committee activities is being organized; plans are being made for next year’s legislative activities; and, preparations have been finalized for what promises to be another great Annual Convention in October.

Things change and time marches on, but the momentum of this great association will prevail.
