For the month of April, IIANC launched its newest public service campaign “Put the Brakes on Distracted Driving.” April is designated nationally as Distracted Driving Awareness Month by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and throughout the month, IIANC has provided our member agencies across the state to bring awareness to the peril of driving distracted in all its forms, such as holding a phone in your hands while behind the wheel, grooming, horseplay with passengers, or even being overly tired when driving.
Here are a few ways you can continue helping us the rest of the month:
- Post on Your Agency’s Social Media Accounts – In addition to the messages being shared by IIANC, we have provided content that you can share via your social media platforms as well. Click HERE to access everything you need to set up and promote the campaign on your own personal and business accounts. As an added bonus, many of the graphics can be customized to include your logo and branding.
- Share a Letter to the Editor with Your Local Paper(s) – Use this Letter to the Editor template to show the power of this campaign across the state. We would love to see this message shared in every newspaper across NC, from Murphy to Manteo, to show how many independent insurance agents care about their communities.
To thank your agency for posting the campaign’s content and helping us “Put the Brakes on Distracted Driving,” we will be awarding one agency at the end of April a $100 Visa gift card! All you have to do is post one of the campaign graphics and tag us on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram – and your agency will be entered to win! (Please make sure your account is set to “public” so we’ll receive the notification.)
Thank you for your continued support of IIANC! And thank you for spreading the word to Put the Brakes on Distracted Driving.
